Garage Flooding in Irving, TX

This photo shows the progression of one drying day to the next. This home had a leak in their attic that made its way all the way down to the garage, all from one water heater. The walls of the garage were affected the most and therefore had to be dried in a special way since the walls leading to the garage from the house have many layers, much like an exterior wall. In the first photo, holes were drilling in the base of the wall to make it possible for air to circulate through the cavities of the wall. When it was checked through daily monitoring the next day, there was not much progress. Our team knew that they needed to make a 2 ft. flood cut in order to dry the wall properly.
